Quickplay

Test any CreativeMode mod instantly in a dedicated superflat test world.

Overview#

Quickplay lets you launch any mod in an isolated test world within seconds. When you use Quickplay, the launcher automatically downloads your mod, sets up a fresh superflat world, and launches Minecraft with everything ready to go. This makes it easy to test mods quickly without managing files or worrying about conflicts with your existing Minecraft installation.

You'll need the CreativeMode Launcher installed, a Microsoft account linked to the launcher, and a valid Minecraft Java Edition license.

How It Works#

When you click Quickplay, the launcher checks your credentials, downloads the mod you selected, creates a new superflat test world, and launches Minecraft with your mod already loaded. The entire process typically takes between 10 and 30 seconds from click to gameplay.

Each Quickplay session runs in its own isolated environment. This means it won't affect your regular Minecraft saves, mods, or settings. The test world is completely separate from your main game.

Starting Quickplay#

You can start Quickplay from either the website or the launcher. On the website, simply click the "Quickplay" button on any mod page. This will open the launcher automatically, download the mod, and launch Minecraft with your mod ready to test.

From the launcher, browse to any mod in your Library or the Explore section and click the "Play" button. The launcher will handle the rest.

Testing Your Mod#

Once Minecraft loads, you'll spawn in a superflat world with your mod already installed. The world is set to Creative mode by default, making it easy to access everything your mod adds.

To test items your mod adds, open your Creative inventory and search for them or use the /give command.

To test mobs, look for spawn eggs in your Creative inventory. Place them in the world to spawn the creatures. You can also use the /summon command.

If your mod adds structures, use the structure placement item that comes with your mod to place structures in the world or use the /structure command.

The Test World#

The Quickplay test world is a standard superflat world with layers of grass, dirt, and bedrock. It doesn't contain any villages, caves, or naturally generated structures, giving you a clean slate to test your mod. The world starts in Creative mode with Normal difficulty, but you can change these settings at any time.

Your test world persists between Quickplay sessions. This means any buildings you create, items you collect, or changes you make will still be there the next time you test a mod. If you want to start fresh, you can manually delete the save from your Minecraft saves folder.
