How to Install CreativeMode Mods

Requirements

Make sure you have these installed before proceeding

  • Minecraft:1.21.5
  • Fabric Loader:0.16.14
  • Fabric API:0.123.2+1.21.5
  • Java SDK:21
Installation Steps
1

Install the Java SDK (Java 21)

Minecraft 1.21.5 and Fabric Loader require Java 21. You can download the JDK from the Oracle website or adopt your preferred OpenJDK 21 distribution.
2

Install Fabric Loader 0.16.14 for Minecraft 1.21.5

To run CreativeMode mods you must have the Fabric mod loader installed. Download the Fabric Installer from fabricmc.net, open it, choose Minecraft 1.21.5 and Loader version 0.16.14, then click Install. Finally, start Minecraft once with the new “Fabric” profile so it can finish setting up.
3

Download Fabric API 0.123.2+1.21.5

Fabric API is required by most Fabric mods. Download version 0.123.2+1.21.5 from Modrinth and save the .jar file. You will need to place it in your Minecraft mods folder (explained below).
4

Download the mod .jar file

Click the Download button for the CreativeMode mod you want to install and save the file.
5

Locate your Minecraft mods folder

Navigate to your Minecraft installation folder and find the "mods" directory. If it doesn't exist, create it.

Default locations:

  • Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/mods
  • Linux: ~/.minecraft/mods
6

Move the files

Place both the downloaded Fabric API and the mod .jar files into your Minecraft modsfolder.
7

Launch Minecraft

Start Minecraft with the Fabric profile and the mod should be loaded automatically!
8

Ready to play!

Start a world and use your mod!
Troubleshooting

Mod doesn't appear in-game

Make sure you're using the correct Fabric version and that the mod file is properly placed in the mods folder. Also ensure that you have the Fabric API present in your mods folder.
