Description:
The Guard Staff is an ancient guardian's weapon that hits like an Iron Sword and passively grants Protection I while held in your main hand. As you defeat mobs with it you fill a Kill Counter that, when full, lets you right‑click to unleash the selected Limit Break (and sneak + right‑click to cycle unlocked Limit Breaks, which resets the counter); the item tooltip shows which Limits are unlocked or locked (GRAND GOSPEL appears as “???” until unlocked), and in Creative all Limits are available without charging. Limit Breaks include supportive heals (Healing Wind heals 10 HP; Pulse of Life heals 20 HP, refills hunger/saturation, and cures negative effects), crowd control (Seal Evil applies Slowness V & Mining Fatigue V), cleansing/refreshing buffs (Breath of the Earth), powerful party buffs (Fury Brand, Planet Protector), and the ultimate GRAND GOSPEL that heals, grants three powerful long buffs, and places an auto‑triggering Totem of Undying in your offhand for the duration.

User request: Guard Staff "Once used by a flower-planting Ancient...this long staff isn t very powerful, but passively protects you. With both hands wielding at once, utilize this weapon's supportive Limit Breaks with right click (charged by enough kills, and can switch between them)." What it does: A new weapon that has the same attack speed and damage as a Iron Sword, but has slightly more reach, passively gives Protection I while in your main hand, and is treated as a Sword with how it attacks and the Enchantments that can be put on it. You can also repair it to full by combining it with a Netherite Ingot while crafting. However, this weapon has a special function, as when you kill a mob, you will have a Kill Counter that when charged up, allows you to unleash a selected Limit Break by right clicking (there'll be a pop-up when a Limit Break is ready to use)! You can switch between your unlocked Limit Breaks by crouching and right clicking at the same time, but your Kill Counter will be reset by doing this. There are 4 levels of Limit Breaks, with 2 in each level (except the last one), with the first Limit in each level being unlocked either automatically for the first one or through total kills with the Guard Staff, and the second Limit in each level requiring uses with the first Limit (only show a message the first time you unlock the x-2 Limits, to prevent spamming while using the x-1 Limits). The final Limit Break is special, requiring you to do a specific task and unlocking all previous Limit Breaks before unlocking it. In Creative Mode, all Limit Breaks will automatically be learned, and can be used without filling up the Kill Counter. Limit Break #1-1: Healing Wind (unlocked automatically, needs 10 kills to unleash). Restore half of your max HP instantly, along with any nearby passive mobs and other players as well. Limit Break #1-2: Seal Evil (unlocked by using Healing Wind 5 times, needs 10 kills to unleash). All nearby Hostile and Neutral mobs will be unable to move or attack for 1 minute. Limit Break #2-1: Breath of the Earth (unlocked by defeating 40 hostile mobs with the Guard Staff, needs 15 kills to unleash). Instantly cure any negative potion effects off of yourself and nearby players or passive mobs, and apply a random positive potion buff for each negative potion buff removed (positive effects all last for 1 minute). Limit Break #2-2: Fury Brand (unlocked by using Breath of the Earth 6 times, needs 15 kills to unleash). Give yourself and any nearby players Strength IV and Haste II for 2 minutes. Limit Break #3-1: Planet Protector (unlocked by defeating 80 hostile mobs with the Guard, needs 20 kills to unleash). Give yourself and any nearby players or passive mobs Protection X for 1 minute. Limit Break #3-2: Pulse of Life (unlocked by using Planet Protector 7 times, needs 20 kills to unleash). Instantly refill your HP, Hunger, Saturation, and cure any negative potion effects off of yourself, nearby players, and passive mobs. Limit Break #4: GRAND GOSPEL (unlocked by surviving death with a Totem of Undying, needs 30 kills to unleash). Has a long wind-up to use, but once used, the HP, Hunger, and Saturation of yourself and nearby players will be filled up. For the next 5 minutes after using this, 3 allied Vexes will follow you and attack any mob you attack, and dying will automatically trigger a Totem of Undying effect, which can happen an unlimited amount of times until the duration is used up. What it looks like: A relatively simple metal staff, with the black leather-bound handle being in the middle, and the end halves of the 2 sides of the staff being wider than the halves closer to the handle, meant more for protecting rather than attacking.' Edit v2: Part 1: Make it so that when you get a notification that a Limit Break is ready to use, it actually says the name of the Limit instead of just "Limit Break Ready!" Also, in the info of the weapon, include what Limit Breaks you currently have unlocked and locked instead of just the one selected, with GRAND GOSPEL being hidden with '???' instead of being shown until unlocked. Part 2: Healing Wind doesn't seem to actually heal you, and is just instantly used with no effect, so instead of half the max HP, heal 10 HP instead. Any other Limit Breaks that heal a percentage of HP will instead just do a flat amount of HP, with Pulse of Life and GRAND GOSPEL healing 20 HP (enough to bring a player to full). Part 3: Seal Evil actually doesn't freeze mobs, but instead makes them completely disappear. So instead, make it so that it gives all nearby hostile/neutral mobs Slowness V and Mining Fatigue V for 1 minute. Part 4: Brand of the Earth and Pulse of Life's status cure also removes any positive effects that a player might have, not just negative, so make it so that Pulse of Life doesn't remove positive potion effects, and Brand of the Earth will actually refresh any ongoing positive potion effects. Part 5: GRAND GOSPEL is very much borked, with the revive and Vexes not working. So instead, replace the Vexes with giving the player 3 random POWERFUL and long-lasting positive potion effects, and instead of the auto-revive, make it so that it generates a Totem of Undying in your offhand (putting what was there into your inventory or the ground if you don't have enough space), that will automatically trigger if either 5 minutes pass without it triggering, or you attempt to take it out of your offhand. Part 6: The Guard Staff is currently doing 8 attack damage, so instead, make it deal 6 attack damage, to match a Iron Sword. Part 7: Make it so there's a bit more SFX and flare to both unlocking and using GRAND GOSPEL, and unlocking a new Limit Break has a 1-time message notifying you of it.
